This position can be based at Los Angeles (LAX), Phoenix (PHX), Las Vegas (LAS), or Seattle (SEA). As VP West Coast USA & Canada you will lead the delivery of safe, secure, and customer-focused operations across a significant portfolio of British Airways airports in the western United States and all of Canada. Reporting into the Senior Vice President Americas, you will provide strategic direction, operational leadership, and commercial oversight while leading a high-performing team of airport professionals and suppliers, alliances and partnerships. Key responsibilities include: - Providing strategic leadership for airport operations across the West USA region. - Ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience. - Driving operational performance to exceed punctuality, baggage delivery, and customer satisfaction targets. - Leading and developing a team of approximately 100 airport colleagues across multiple locations. - Managing key supplier relationships to deliver exceptional operational and customer outcomes. - Overseeing resource planning, workforce optimisation, recruitment, and talent development. - Building strong partnerships with airline partners, airport authorities, government agencies, and industry stakeholders. - Managing complex financial plans and budgets, ensuring effective cost control and value delivery. - Leading transformation initiatives and continuous improvement programmes that enhance the customer experience. - Acting as a senior spokesperson and representative for British Airways across the region.
