Company Description Not stated Job Description The Turboprop fleet management team has a vacancy for a ground-based Deputy Fleet Manager (DFM). The successful applicant will join the Turboprop fleet management team to lead a fleet of just over 600 pilots. This is your opportunity to use your solid leadership, organisation and communication skills to make a significant contribution to the current and future state of the Air New Zealand pilot group. As a Deputy Fleet Manager - Turboprop, you will be responsible for: - The leadership and management of flight crew including day-of-operation functions that include rostering, manpower management, operational integrity and technical decision making. - Provide the technical, operational and personnel support necessary for flight crew to operate the Company's aircraft in a safe and efficient manner. - Provide motivation, guidance and coaching to employees to reinforce individual performance with regard to safety, customer service and adherence to company values, practices and policy. - Support the ongoing commercial imperatives of the business by contributing to effective business planning and consequently the management of costs, revenues and outcomes. - Actively ensure the safety and security of people, assets, systems and procedures engaged in or associated within your area of responsibility control or influence. - Comply with applicable business and industry-specific legislative and regulatory requirements. - Participate in operational forums, as well as use your operational experience and decision-making skills to create successful business outcomes. - Assistance in supporting various portfolios to support our crew With relevant experience in a complex business environment and proven people management skills, you will play a significant role in the current and future performance and productivity of the Turboprop Pilot group.
