Purpose of the role To represent Wizz Air’s interests on-site by overseeing and assuring the quality, safety, and compliance of aircraft base maintenance activities in line with contractual, regulatory, and technical requirements. Act as the primary point of contact between the MRO and Wizz Air for all matters related to the base maintenance event. Responsibilities - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Base Maintenance Agreements, including applicable JPMs or ‘White Book’ content where available - Act as the Wizz Air on-site representative during any base maintenance and EOL project inputs - Conduct incoming and final walk around inspection together with the MRO responsible persons and provide the findings list to the MRO. Ensure that the Customer Work Request (CWR) items are raised by the MRO for rectification - Check for existing incoming defects, items listed on the ASR and any electronic techlog entries, for items not issued in the BM event Work Packages prepared by the CAMO maintenance planners - Review and manage work scope execution, findings and defect rectification, deferred defects and technical records - Liaise daily with MROs, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders - Attend daily and weekly project management meetings between MRO and internal Wizz Air departments (materials, planning, etc) - Track progress against maintenance schedules and milestones - Request and approve parts transfers, material purchasing, exchange of components, and oversee the timely material ordering and returns of rotable components by the MRO. - Develop and own an “MRO critical items list action tracker” on critical items such as, but not limited to, structural repairs, OEM requests and submissions: items which require immediate attention due to possible long processing/lead times. - Assess MRO performance using KPIs and Continuous Improvement lists - Ensure maintenance events are performed to Wizz Air quality standards and that aircraft are returned within the agreed turn-around-times. - Monitor and ensure compliance with CAME, AMP, JPMs, white book and applicable regulatory requirements - Identify and escalate risks related to quality, cost, and timelines - Validate and approve any additional man-hours claimed by the MRO, ensuring justification is satisfactory prior to finalizing total man-hours and issuing the invoice - Validate work pack completion and support aircraft redelivery - Oversee the full status of the aircraft throughout the maintenance period, including documentation quality check - Provide detailed reporting to Wizz Air Engineering & CAMO as required - Act as single point of contact on the assigned BM event between CAMO, Technical team, MOC and the MRO and/or 3rd party suppliers - Tasks requirement for technical representatives as detailed in the CAME - Other tasks as required by the senior base maintenance manager Experience - 3-5+ years of experience with 2+ years of experience in technical representative OR Base Maintenance check leader/supervisor role - Strong background in aircraft base maintenance and EOLs (essential) Hard skills - A320 family type experience (desirable) - Solid knowledge of EASA Part-145 / Part-M / Part-CAMO, aircraft technical documentation and records Education - Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 minimum) - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering Language Fluent English (both written and spoken) Skills and competencies - Strong communication and management skills - Ability to work independently in high-pressure, international environments - Willingness to work on a shift rotation basis (only daytime) and occasional travel to other bases and/or Wizz Air Budapest headquarters in Budapest, Hungary ---
