Key Responsibilities - Operational: Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, operate equipment or use tooling relative to assigned tasks within framework of Qatar Airways and Customer procedures - Review of work procedures and standards, propose improvements were procedures are not appropriate to ensure work processes are effective - Responsible for the final release of work accomplished. Ensure tasks are performed to meet company/customer standards and target such as dispatch reliability and level of acceptable deferred defects - Ensure delivery standard of QR/customer products are met. Aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures - Provide satisfactory support to internal and external customers - Implement solutions to technical problems within his/her range of authority. Aircraft or components serviceability standards are maintained to meet schedule requirements - Management & Leadership: Supervise a team of mechanics or technical assistants, ascertaining tasks are efficiently performed and comply with procedures and meet task objectives - Provide guidance and/or on the job training to the Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics reporting to this position - Establish the teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives - Regularly evaluate the teams' objectives, plans, and procedures and revise when needed - Ensuring staff under his immediate controls adhere to published technical and safety requirements defined in publishing manuals, customer procedures and other publications - Defining priorities to the staff allocated to him to ensure that efficient use of resources is channeled to perform the tasks allocated and meet schedules and planned check activities - When supervising the work of others, ensuring that acceptable standard of workmanship and quality are maintained and the correct tools are employed to accomplish the task Requirements / Qualifications - High School Qualification/Vocational Qualification/Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience - Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or vocation aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering - Must hold minimum 1 full QR main fleet ICAO/QCAA license and approvals - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job - Using mathematics to solve problems - Controlling operations of equipment or systems - Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
